Robotic Arm

This robot uses a Raspberry Pi in tandem with a RPI touchscreen to allow the user to write on the touchscreen and have the robot mimic the exact movements and writing. The robotic arm can then store that movement and autonomously recreate it on command.

This video shows the user writing on the touchscreen and the robotic arm mimicking it

The robotic arm now stores that movement and autonomously recreates the same writing from the previous video

More examples of users writing on the touch screen with the robotic arm mimicking the movement

A python code takes the coordinates as the user draws and stores them so the robotic arm can automatically recreate the exact movement

How does it work?

The robotic arm uses laser cut wooden supports on the sides of the arm as well as 3D printed supports in the middle sections. Motor mounts are also 3D printed as well as the end-effector holder.
